SAMIZEL was built on the belief that accounting should do more than record what has already happened. Financial information should help business owners understand how their company is operating, anticipate what may be ahead, and make informed decisions about where they want to take it.
A Perspective Built from Both Sides of Business
SAMIZEL was founded by Susana Delgadillo, an accounting professional whose career has allowed her to understand businesses from different perspectives: working directly with small business owners through her own accounting practice in Mexico and, later, through years of experience within corporate organizations in the United States.
Her background includes experience in accounting, audit, and financial operations, as well as the opportunity to work closely with business owners and executive leaders. Seeing businesses both from the outside, as an accounting professional, and from the inside, as part of their operations, allowed her to develop a broader understanding of what financial information can reveal when it is used for more than simply meeting an accounting requirement.
For Susana, accounting has always been a little like putting together the pieces of a puzzle: understanding how each part connects, identifying what the numbers are revealing, and using that information to create a clearer picture of the business as a whole.
An Entrepreneurial Perspective
The business world has been part of Susana's life from an early age. Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs gave her the opportunity to see firsthand what it takes to build, manage, and grow a business, while also understanding the vision, effort, and decisions behind it.
That perspective took on a deeper meaning when she started her first accounting practice in Mexico. Being on the other side-not only as an accountant, but also as a business owner-helped her understand that behind every company is a person making decisions, taking risks, and trying to build something that can grow and endure.
After starting her own accounting practice early in her career and later developing decades of experience in the corporate world, creating SAMIZEL became an opportunity to bring those two perspectives together: to build a firm focused not only on accounting, but on understanding the business behind the numbers and helping business owners see beyond where they are today and recognize the potential of what they can achieve.
That same forward-looking perspective shapes the way SAMIZEL supports its clients.
